My family and I are preparing for our trip away. We all love a good vacation. And they’re all good. But what some of us hate (I, especially) is the preparation: the planning, the booking, the packing, the disruption in our lives. With all the hoopla that goes into the trip, it’s no surprise that there is tension on the first day (and the second, and sometimes even the third). This is especially true when the trip involves going somewhere that we’ve never been before, following directions that appear to be foreign, and not seeing a familiar face for the entire length of the trip.
I’m not gonna lie: I’m not one for surprises, so the unfamiliar isn’t always appreciated by me. And this trip involves a whole slew of places I’ve never been before, so this should be a stress fest for me. But I will try my best to keep the stress low, the mood up, and the expense down–so I don’t have a post-vacation anxiety attack either.
